I'm a native of Boston and grew up in Stoneham, Belmont and Cambridge. I attended high school at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols (BB&N), located in Cambridge, MA. Two of my high school friends maintain interesting web sites, Robert Ditzion's ditzion.com and the venerable infobhan, run by Ishir Bhan. I earned a B.A. in Biology in 1998 from Cornell University. While an undergraduate, I was selected as a Hughes Scholar, which provided a stipend that enabled me to conduct independent research on plant viruses under the guidance of Prof. Alison Power. My sophomore and junior years I lived at Watermargin. TextbookX.com, a company I worked for right out of college, is still going strong. After that, I managed the web development team for TelekomNet, now defunct and websiteless (google search). While there I worked with graphic designer Alex Fedorov. I received my Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University (January 2005). |
